    TrikExplor 3WD F320E — Three-Wheel-Drive Electric Fat-Tire Recumbent Trike

Front differential drive · Rear hub motor with reverse · Torque-sensing front pedal assist on pedal version / dual throttles on no-pedal version · 20 × 4.0-inch fat tires · Electric-only

The 3WD F320E is an electric recumbent trike with two complementary propulsion systems. For typical riding, the rear hub motor provides drive. When additional front-wheel drive is needed, a front mid-drive motor powers both front wheels through a mechanical differential. The motor and control system differ between the two versions. This configuration is three-wheel drive (3WD).

Shared 3WD Architecture — Different Front Motors and Controls

Both versions use the same two-part 3WD architecture, a front mechanical differential, a rear 1000W hub motor with reverse, and front/rear batteries rated 48V 14.5Ah and 48V 20Ah respectively. The front motors and controls are not the same: the with-pedals version uses a Tongsheng torque-sensing mid-drive motor for pedal assist only, without a front throttle, and the rear hub motor is throttle-controlled. The no-pedal version uses a Bafang 750W front mid-drive with its own throttle, plus a separate throttle for the rear motor.

    How the 3WD System Works

Rear drive: The rear wheel has an electric hub motor for regular propulsion and a reverse function for maneuvering. Front drive: The no-pedal version uses a throttle-controlled Bafang 750W motor; the pedal-equipped version uses a torque-sensing Tongsheng motor with pedal assist only. In both versions, the front motor drives the two front wheels through the mechanical differential. The front system is intended for additional traction when the riding conditions demand it. The differential allows the two front wheels to turn at different speeds while negotiating turns.

The two front wheels are mechanically driven through the differential, not by individual front hub motors. Available traction depends on surfaces, loads and responsible use of each drive system.

Electric-Only Configurations — Pedal Assist or Dual Throttles

Choose the layout that fits how you want to ride. The photos above show the pedal-equipped version; the section below shows the no-pedal version, including its fixed front foot platform and drivetrain details.

    No Pedals — $5,999

Electric drive only, with a fixed front foot platform instead of pedal cranks. Two separate throttles: one controls the front Bafang drive through the differential, and the other controls the rear hub motor with reverse. No fixed rider-height limit applies to the no-pedal layout; individual seat and control fit should still be checked.

    With Pedals — $6,099

Includes pedal cranks, a single front motor chainring and Shimano 9-speed freewheel at the front differential. The Tongsheng torque-sensing front mid-drive operates through pedal assist only, without a throttle, for progressive assistance while pedaling. The rear hub motor retains its own throttle control. Designed for riders 170–200 cm tall; individual fit should be confirmed before ordering.

Both are electric versions; there is no non-electric model in this listing. Select color and pedal configuration from the product options.

    No-Pedal Version — Real Photographs

This version uses a fixed front foot platform instead of a pedal crankset. Both motors are throttle-controlled, with a separate throttle for front differential drive and rear hub drive. The battery capacities, rear hub motor and overall 3WD architecture match the pedal-equipped version, but this no-pedal version uses a Bafang 750W throttle-controlled front motor. No fixed rider-height restriction applies to the no-pedal configuration.

    Frame, Tires and Rear Suspension

The existing product specification lists a 6061-T6 aluminum frame, three 20 × 4.0-inch fat tires, a mesh recumbent seat and KS A5-Re rear air suspension. Tire pressure and terrain affect ride feel, rolling resistance and traction. This configuration is not a guarantee of climbing ability or rollover prevention.

    Controls, Reverse and Included Equipment

The rear hub motor includes reverse operation for low-speed maneuvering. Check the path behind the trike before engaging reverse, and select front drive to suit the riding conditions. Fenders are included at no extra charge.

With-Pedals Version — Left and Right Handlebar Controls

The two photographs below show ONLY the pedal-equipped version's left and right handlebars. On that version, the Tongsheng front motor supplies torque-sensing pedal assistance without a front throttle, while the rear hub motor has throttle control. They must not be mistaken for no-pedal-version controls. On the no-pedal version, the two motors each have a separate throttle.
