TrikExplor was founded by Luo Tao, a mechanical engineer who has been designing and riding recumbent trikes since 2001. With more than 30 original recumbent trike and quadricycle designs to his name, Luo leads our engineering team with one simple rule: every model must be proven on real roads and trails before it goes into production.

Unlike brands that design on paper, every TrikExplor model is ridden hundreds of kilometers by the engineer who designed it — across gravel, sand, snow, heat, and heavy loads — before production begins. Real-world feedback shapes every generation of our trikes.

What we make

We design and manufacture recumbent trikes and quadricycles in our own factory in China, with self-developed production and assembly lines. Our range covers entry-level folding trikes, full-size fat-tire electric trikes, 4WD all-terrain quads, and two-person tandem models — plus a full line of original accessories. Every frame is handcrafted and factory-tested. Trikes ship within a week, flat-packed with video-guided assembly; quads arrive 95% pre-assembled in protective crating.

Recumbent Trikes

From entry-level folding trikes to full-size fat-tire electric models, every trike is designed and ridden by our own engineers before production. With the e-assist system, our recumbent trikes are suitable for all riders.

Recumbent Quads

Our 2WD/4WD recumbent quadricycles stay stable on gravel, sand, snow, and off-road trails. The modular design makes assembly and maintenance simple for riders and dealers alike.

Who We Build For

We believe riding should be for everyone. Our three- and four-wheel designs need no balancing, offer full back support, and are easy to get on and off — making them ideal for seniors, riders with balance concerns, and anyone returning to cycling after injury. At the same time, our 4WD and touring models serve riders who want to go farther, carry more, and leave the pavement behind.

E-Assist System

Electric assist comes standard across our trike and quad range, flattening hills and extending every ride.

All-Wheel-Drive Recumbents

Our AWD recumbent quads are built for cross-country riding — flat pavement, dirt roads, and natural off-road trails.

Fiets en Wandelbeurs – Cycling and Hiking Fair in Netherland, marks the start of a new hiking and cycling season in the Netherlands and Belgium. We showed our recumbent quads and trikes.

2018 special bike show 

2018 International Special Bikes Show held in Germersheim, Germany The most professional exhibition of recumbent trikes in the world. We released 4WD recumbent quad and a series of recumbent trikes.

China international bicycle fair

China International Bicycle Fair in Shanghai, the largest exhibition of bicycle in China. Our velotaxi with solar panel, cargo bike and recumbent trike were showed.

2019 special bike show

2019 International Special Bikes Show held in Germersheim, Germany. The most professional exhibition of recumbent trikes in the world. We released new model, S320 full suspension recumbent trike.
